NFL Week 6 Recap

So, Week 6 is in the books.

Bolded are the teams that won the respective match up. Dashed to the right were my projected winners for each game.  This week was terrible for me in terms of pick’em as I went a lousy 7-8. The bad streak continues. My Week 7 picks will be out on Thursday.

Broncos at Chargers – Broncos
Eagles at Redskins – Eagles
Steelers at Dolphins – Steelers
Jaguars at Bears – Bears
Browns at Titans – Titans
Bengals at Patriots – Patriots
49ers at Bills – 49ers
Ravens at Giants – Giants
Rams at Lions – Lions
Panthers at Saints – Panthers
Chiefs at Raiders – Raiders
Cowboys at Packers – Packers
Falcons at Seahawks – Seahawks
Colts at Texans – Texans
Jets at Cardinals – Cardinals

Top 3 Takeaways from Week 6

1. Spencer Ware seems to have a strangle hold on the running back position in Kansas City. There was a general consensus that upon his return, Ja-Cha, would slide right into his starting spot. However, Ware is averaging a WHOPPING 7.1 yards per touch. I would assume Ja-Cha will be getting more work but this is truly a case of, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Not to mention Ware is younger and cheaper.

2. The loss of Big Ben is really unfortunate for the Steelers. Their next few games are against the RED HOT PATS, divisional foe Ravens and a, just as hot, Cowboys team. This injury couldn’t come at a more inopportune time for the Steelers. Lets hope Landry Jones can keep them afloat. Bell and Brown really need to step up and make plays in his absence. If not, they could be looking up at the rest of the league come Week 9. Depending on how long Ben is out.

3. Terrelle Pryor is a legit WR1 in the NFL. Every week he makes a play that makes your wonder if ever even played the QB position. As far as positions switches go, I can’t think of one that has gone as smooth as Pryor’s move to WR. Given his athleticism and work ethic his ascension to Elite WR status may be a lot closer than anyone of us thought it would be.
