Power Rankings after Week 1.
The first week of the fantasy season has finally come and gone. It's what we've all been waiting for since February.
It was a pretty dull first week as scoring was down quite a bit from Week 1 of the 2016 season, which in turn means fantasy scoring is down as well.
Week 1 Matchups:
Mark 152 v. Sebastian 131.6
Mark pulled out the Monday night victory over Sebastian, which should come as no surprise. Mark moves to 6-1 when playing against Sebastian since the beginning of this league. Losing David Johnson for an extended period of time is a huge loss to an already struggling team.
Nick 129.3 v. Bobby 167.6
Nicks quarterbacks came to play but he was let down by receivers (TY and Dez) who each scored less than 7 points this week. Both of Bobbys running backs were let downs this week, but he was able to pull out the victory with each of his position players scoring at least 11 points.
Dave 200.5 v. Tom 149.4
Dave came into this Week 1 matchup with a 4-0 record against Tom. And the streak continues as Dave becomes the first team to post a 200+ point week by half a point. Tom put up a solid fight but couldn't do much as Dave's team was unstoppable. Carson Palmer definitely didn't do him (or anyone else) any favors this week.
Garen 171.8 v. Irvin 97.8
Garen had the second highest score of the week, and that's after he left one of the top three wide receivers on his bench, even though he didn't play in the game. It didn't hurt that he played against the only team to not break 100 points, as Irv had three players score 2 or less points and a defense notch a solid -7.
The first official power rankings of the season see Dave take the number one spot. Garen remains the two hole as Mark falls to three and Bobby jumps into number four. Tom fell into the bottom four, while Irv and Nick flip flopped and Sebastian remains the in last spot.
