Week 10 - The Good, Bad and Ugly
1st Place - This weeks winner of $30 is Dave Reustle, the Co-Commissioner posted a 189.4 and that includes his tight end only scoring 2 points and one of his running backs only scoring 8 points or he would have had a shot at breaking 200 for the first time this season. Three players scored at least 32+ and he got 25 total points out of his kicker and defense.
2nd Place - This weeks winner of $20 is Dan Diorio, scoring 189.0, missing the top score by only 0.4 points. Dan had a running back only score 5.4 and defense and kicker combine for 8, or he also would have had a good shot to break 200 points. Everyone else on his lineup scored at least 15.1 points.
Biggest Movers for Week 10 include:
Dan D. - Up 10 Spots - With the second highest score of the week, Dan was able to jump from 18th to 8th, cracking the top ten for the first time this season, since starting in 6th and falling as low as 35th (which still gives me hope).
Joe Buriak - Up 8 Spots - Joe missed the top score of the week by less than two points, scoring 187.5. Joe joins Dave and Dan as the only three players to break 160+ points this week.
Dave R. - Up 6 Spots - Posting 189.4 points better move you up at least five spots, getting into the top 30 for the first time this season.
Carlos - Up 4 Spots - Carlos finished in the top seven this week, and that's after receiving the late penalty or he would have had a top four score this week.
Bernie P. - By far the most engaged new member of the league. Not only does Bernie keep me on my toes, but he knows how to pick his fantasy lineups as well. After starting the season in 11th, he jumped to 3rd in week 2 and hasn't been lower than 4th all season. This week he made it back into the top three with seven weeks to go.
Joe M. - Big Joe maintains his position in first place for the fourth week in a row. To date, Joe has been in first place for six of the ten weeks of this season so far.
Allen Merlino - This isn't too bad, but it's the worst thing to happen to someone in the top five, so I had to include. Mers fell away the way from third to fourth this week.
Mark Caruso - oh that's me!.. you would think someone that runs a entire in depth fantasy league, would be able to pick a decent fantasy lineup. I added an additional player position this season and have been posting some of the lowest scores of the four years I've run this league. I can't even get into the top thirty this year and I'm running out of time.
Biggest Droppers, the lead balloons if you will of Week 10 are:
Drew Aucott - Down 6 Spots - Drew posted his lowest score of the season, causing him to drop down to 20th. Normally a contender, this is the time of year in which Drew usually starts making his big leaps and making a push for the top, can he do it again this year?
Brian Barger - Down 6 Spots - Brian has been in the top ten for the last three weeks, being as high as fifth, but hasn't fallen a little each week and now down to 14th.
Eliminator Pool - This weeks eliminations include:
Drew Aucott - Drew has been dominating our friends circle in Draft Kings on a weekly basis, but hasn't had quite the same luck in PEFFL this year. He posted a 97.4 this week, which isn't terrible but wasn't good enough for week 10 of the elimination pool. Drew was only 1.6 points away from not being eliminated this week, starting Matt Forte (who didn't play) and Mike Nugent (-1) didn't help his cause.
Alex Rodriguez - Happy Birthday brother, I got you hot off press, elimination birthday cake. A score of 91 wasn't enough to keep you in the running this week, but Happy Birthday, that's a nice consolation prize.
Justin Bird - J. Bird posting an 89.3 this week, was the lowest score of the three eliminations of week 10.
George Glikos - George posted the low score of the week coming in at 52.1. Six of his selections scored 7 points or less and one player not register any points.
For those of you interested, THE GOOD, BAD and UGLY will be posted tomorrow. I didn't want everyone to have to wait another day for this week's scores.
Next weeks submission form will be up later tonight/tomorrow.
This week first place score goes to Dave Reustle and second to Dan Diorio.
Player Elimination Fantasy Fooball League
As heard on Sirius XM Radio, the P.E.F.F.L was founded by Mark Caruso in 2014. This new format of fantasy football is great way to play the fantasy football game we all love by combining Daily Fantasy Sports and a Survivor Pool.
