And here we go... only one week left to go until we crown the winner of the 2017 PEFFL season!
It's a busy time of year for me, so I'll make this weeks recap another quick one, but want to make a couple notes for the last week.
All the games for week 17 are on Sunday this week, however with it being New Years Eve, I will be busy at work and won't be able to get scores together until Wednesday 1/3, at which time I will present the end of season awards and the final standings.
But more about Week 16:
This was a rather low week of scoring as only six people score more than 107 points, ten people scored between 100-106 and eleven people scored less than 100 points.
Top scores this week go to two players at the bottom of the leader board:
1. Alex Rodriguez - Hit another homer this week with the top score of 187.4.
2. Irv Serrano - Coming in at his highest score of the season with a 172.2.
Ironically they both started Todd Gurley (from what I hear he did really well, won quite a few championships for people this week and he's also someone I have that I was holding off on starting in Week 17 -_-).
Also, Mo Sifeuntes coming in third place with 150.2, was the only other person to start Gurley this week.
A-Rod - following a recent streak of "whoever has the high score seems to be the biggest mover up the standings", Alex jumped up six places in the standings going from 27th to 21st.
Sebastian - fresh off his horseback ride of Todd Gurley to a championship, Bassy moved up four spots, from 18th to 14th, with chance to make a run at some money in the PEFFL league too.
So we are down to our final four participants that remain in the E-Pool. Eliminations this week include:
Dan Diorio - Dan eliminated with a score of 102.2, which is the highest score of someone eliminated so far this season.
Allen Merlino - Mers posted the third highest eliminated score, coming in at 100.5
Garen Arargil - Fantasy Genius finally eliminated with a sub 100 score of 92.5
The elimination pool comes down to the final four members, Joe M (1st), Christos (2nd), Nick Fererri (9th) and Gayle (10th). Whoever has the high score of these four, will be the winner of the E-Pool and a cool $100.
We had quite a few players fall three spots in the standings this week, those include:
Joe Acampora - fell from 14 to 17
Davide "Roman" Colosimo - fell from 21 to 24
Tara "Hewdy" Huey - fell from 13 to 16
Mark Mcclain - fell from 24 to 27
Bernie Pleskoff - fell from 3 to 6
This week there was a bit of movement in the top 10 but only one person fell out of the top ten, meaning on person moved in. The top two remain unchanged, John A and Dan D, moved from 4 and 5 into 3 and 4 with Mo Sifuentes jumping in the five spot. Nick Fererri is the new member of the top ten club coming in at 9th.
Quite a bit of competition in the top ten this year, the top seven right now are all within 100 points and anything is possible in Week 17. And than there are another eight people that are within 100 points of breaking into the top ten.
Player Elimination Fantasy Fooball League
As heard on Sirius XM Radio, the P.E.F.F.L was founded by Mark Caruso in 2014. This new format of fantasy football is great way to play the fantasy football game we all love by combining Daily Fantasy Sports and a Survivor Pool.
